TEAR DOWN THE WALL!
AMOS:
Last night I went to see Roger Waters perform The Wall at London’s 02 Arena.
But before we got there, there was a slight mishap…
Because I am in London pretty much every other week, travelling by train has become a habit, something automatic and not really thought about. Just get on, choo choo, and off you step.
Assumption is a very dangerous thing…
We, my partner and I, assumed the train from Luton – running through Central London being a weekday and all – would stop at London Bridge and then we’d ride the Jubilee Line to North Greenwich and the 02. The train did not stop at London Bridge. So, we thought, okay, we’ll get off at Elephant and Castle and go from there…it didn’t stop at Elephant and Castle…
Oh. Good. Lord.
And then it passed another station…and another…speeds up…passes another…
OH CRAP!
Thankfully, it stopped at East Croydon and we rode the train back to London Bridge! PHEW! Panic was well and truly over. We got to the 02 with loads of time to spare. YAY! 🙂
Anyway, back to the show. It was absolutely incredible, an amazing concert. I was completely enthralled from start to finish. The best concert I have ever been to. I have seen some awesome stuff, but The Wall takes the crown well and truly! I am still riding the euphoric wave/buzz/high!
Now I am off to continue riding the wave/buzz/high. Bye for now!
